So today I saw my first real patient! A little girl named Sarah...she's 11. I was so worried cause I thought she had mixed dentition and I was afraid I wouldnt be able to tell her permanent teeth from her baby teeth, but luckily she had all her permanent ones so I was saved =0) There is soo much paperwork to do in clinic, thats why it takes like 4 hours before you even get to go into the mouth with instruments and clean. Plus the teachers have to check everything you do. Collins is going to be my patient Thursday! I am excited cause I really want to clean his teeth. I know he has gingivitis...lol but most everyone does.
In other news wedding stuff is going well. I have all the invitation stuff almost done -you have no idea how hard it is to get names and addresses and then make sure you word it correctly. And then etiquitte says you should do this and that....jesus christ.....its a piece of paper that people throw away! Sheesh. Collins and I had a meeting with our officiant yesterday over the phone and I really really like him. He has some interesting ideas on the way a wedding should be preformed and I like them. Like he doesnt stand in back of us to preform the ceremony, he stands in the aisle...that way the photographer can get amazing pictures. www.dayofdreams.com
The readings we will have are Corinthians (love is patient, love is kind) because me and my sister read it at my moms wedding and I love it. And Blessing for a marriage by James Dillet Freeman. Im really going to cry I think.
So, my bridesmaid Lisa told me shes pregnant! And shell be 8 months along when the wedding gets here. SO thank goodness we didnt order the dress yet cause it would never work. So my friend Katie is going to be a bridesmaid instead. Im glad though cause Katie and I have gotten super close and I really want her in it.
I know theres so much more...but i cant think anymore.

Wedding florist- www.perfectpetalsnc.com They will be artificial, but they look just as beatiful. Whos gonna be able to tell really? And they are much lighter to hold during the ceremony. School I love school! But it is super demanding. I love the fact that I am actually learning about the mouth and teeth and tooth structure and anatomy. Although having to know evey cusp and groove on every tooth is demanding. I also love that we are learning to use instruments in each others mouths. I am so scared I am going to hurt the person I am working on, but Ive learned so much. I can probe (read the space between the gums and teeth) the entire mouth and passed all my competencies...yay! I can also take blood pressure and have my very own bp cuff and stethoscope. Its beginning to feel as if I am a dental hygienist which is awesome.
Other Collins had an interview for assistant store manager. which would be amazing cause it will be twice as much as he is making now. And he deserves it. He said the interview and tests went well so now we are just waiting to hear from them and are crossing our fingers.
Last test tonight for A&P2...then the final Thursday. I need a C or better on both to pass the class...pray for me. If I never learn another thing about the urinary system agian I will be extremely happy...I mean who really cares about how many sodium and Potassium ions you loose through urination....not me. Ill be working in people's mouths. After the final on Thursday night we are going with Brandon and Katie to see Spiderman 3 at the IMAX for the midnight showing...should be fun times. I spent all last weekend with Katie and her friend Chantel...they are really awesome girls. We went to New Jersey where Katie is from. We went shopping and out to eat. I have determined that people(strangers) from New Jersey are rude...for no real reason. They just arent polite to everyone around them. Therefore I like PA much better. Katie and Brandon are sooo much like us its scary. They live in an apartment...they are engaged, they have 2 cats, Brandon and Collins both like the red sox, Katie and I have the same name, Brandon and Collins cant swallow pills( a random fact I learned this weekend), and we all work at Home Depot Collins and Brandon at Conshohocken and Katie and I at West Norriton =0) Yes thats right I got a part time job as a cashier there, I start this weekend.
Oh I played paper mario for the wii for the first time and I LOVE it! I am soo addicted. Its like the 1st one except better. Mostly because you can change from 2-D to 3-D view. Still a lot of reading but soo worth it.
We began the process of packing...we have a lot of stuff. I cant wait to be in the new house....I wish it was June already.
8-8-08 Yep the date is set. This weekend was so much fun I was so glad to see everyone! It was hard to leave. I got so much accomplished..the place the date and the dress!
I MADE IT INTO HYGIENE SCHOOL!!!! IM officially starting in September!! I dont know how we are going to make it finacially...but if there is a will there is a way. How come everything is happening at once? I mean its all good things so I cant complain...but jeez...I really cant handle another thing.
my life is so crazy right now...hence the lack of posts. WE GOT THE HOUSE!!! Yay!! After much back and forth with the builder about the price, and whether or not the fridge is included, (it's not so we have to buy one) we finally just said ok we will take it. We also have to buy a washer and dryer...but Im excited cause I can pick out what I want. Buying a house is stressful, so is planning a wedding, traveling back and forth to Illinois and my A&P class. We close on the house June 15th, we couldnt get out of our lease any sooner. April 20th Collins and I are going to IL so I can go dress shopping, and look at a reception hall in Schaumburg. http://www.chandlerschophouse.com/chandlers/home.html This one is located on Schamburg golf course which looks like it has really beautiful grounds. My sister's boyfriend Ray, has a sister, named Denise. She is seeing this guy who is like a billionaire...but anyway she plans and decorates weddings and that is one of the places she frequently works with so she said she can give me a discount and help me decorate. So we shall see I guess. But no go on any of the other places I looked...I just didnt like them.
home sweet home...hopefully I found my future home (well hopefully=0) Its sooo perfect. Its in a really nice area, it is within walking distance of Spring Mountain (a ski area-think Wilmont but smaller). And it is a Brand -new end unit townhome! On the first floor is the living room, kitchen, with an eat in dining room (its really big) also a full size washer and dryer...all new white appliances...also a powder room. It has a cute little deck off the kitchen. There is a huge unfinished basement. The second floor has a humongous master bedroom with an entire wall of closets. an a nice size second bedroom with another nice size closet. The upstairs bath is really nice...it has a freakin jacuzzi tub in it! Its just a regular tub with jets in it...but still very nice. Its not quite finished yet...the carpet hasnt even been put in it. Collins is going to look at it tomorrow and then I think we are gonna put in a offer! craziness....but I am soo excited. Its everything we could ever want in a first home and more. I hope it all works out, its at the top of our price range but I think we can make it work. Money will be tight at first but Im sure we will make due. I just hope everyone will finally come to visit us now. If you do you will have an actual room to stay in =0)

In other news...still no Wii internet connection is possible. We have everything you need, a wireless router, an access point and a Wii, we even have the frickin Wii points card...but still no connection and we cant figure out why. Something is not right with the wireless router...we thought, so we returned it for another one. Still no connection. Numerous hours have been spent on the phone but no go. oh well.
We got pre-approved for a $240,000 mortgage! Thats probably waaay more that we can afford, but we wont use all of it. Apparently, as my realtor put it we look good on paper....this makes me very happy. Time to begin the search for a suitable home =0)
all we need is a little bit of inertia question....is long lake to Buffalo grove too far to ask guests to drive from ceremony to reception? I fell in love with some of these online pics at www.astoriabanquets.com grr..Im getting frustrated....there arent many good reeption sites to choose from. I looked at Independence Grove in Libertyville....they wanted $15,000 just on food/drinks alone! Yeah right...thats my entire budget and then some...sheesh. This place...is $40/ person which is perfect...$40 times about 125 = $5000 or so which is great! I just hate that its so far! But it is my wedding...i suppose I could do what I want to. I also am starting to work on bridesmaids gifts...I already bought them....Id tell you more but Ashley gets one =0) so I cant.
I babysat for the twins today...they are soo cute. Grace was eating pizza that I made for her...I asked "How's your pizza Grace? she goes..."No, not so bad...katie" Adorable! They played outside for a while, Grace fell in the mud and goes "oh no!" too cute.
Today it occured to me for the first time that "fat tuesday" probably came about due to the fact that tomorow starts Lent and people are supposed to fast. Maybe Im just slow, or blonde, did anyone else realize this? Speaking of, Im giving up pop for Lent. Anyone who knows me will understand my sacrifice....I mean what will I drink? My piano teachers name is Abbey, and shes the same age as me. Im really close to being able to play Dark blue all the way through. Collins and I were in Macy's this weekend and we were looking at china patterns...just to get an idea, Collins found this pattern that I fell in love with...although its expensive, but I suppose all china is. Its real....3/4 carat...and so pretty. I told him he should pace himself I mean we do have many more Valentine's to go...Im not complaining tho =0) I guess he had some coupons from Zales since he bought my engagement ring.
It snowed starting yesterday, so they cancelled my class...which made me very happy! I still had to go to work though, which really was pointless because all except one of our patients cancelled....who wants to go to the dentist in the snow? Oh well at least I got paid to do nothing.
Wedding planning is slow going....Ive gotten over the Lisa issue...she's entitled to her happiness...and my ring is bigger than hers so that helps ;0)
Im looking forward to this weekend....piano lessons on Friday, then Collins and I get to watch the twins for 24 hours...the longest time yet, while Andy and Christine go into Philadelphia for the night (shes suprising him so shhh dont tell). So that should be interesting. And then church on Sunday...I really enjoyed going last week, and I think Im going to become a member of this church. They do a lot of work in the community...so maybe Ill start volunteering.

There is an absolutley gorgeous view of the lake...which is what is really selling me on it. It just reminds me of growing up, and my Dad. It would make it feel like he is there...the hardest pert of all of this is that he wont be able to walk me down the aisle.
